Project Description and Scope:

The Transbay Transit Center Project in downtown San Francisco will transform transportation in California by creating the “Grand Central of the West.”

As the largest approved public transportation project in the country, the $4 billion program will replace the current Transbay Terminal at First and Mission streets in San Francisco with a modern regional transit hub connecting eight Bay Area counties and the State of California through nine transit systems: AC Transit, BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, Greyhound, MUNI, SamTrans, WestCAT and future High Speed Rail from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

On the $200 Million Excavation Contract (TG-03), ASC is providing the following services:

Pre- and Post-construction Surveys;;
Monitoring of the Performance of the Internal Bracing System of the excavation, using approximately 400 Strain Gages, aggregated on 24 Multiplexers and two Master Dataloggers, providing real-time monitoring
Noise Monitoring;
Vibration Monitoring;

Total Project Cost: $4 Billion
Excavation Construction Cost: $200 Million
